In a food processor combine the following..
1 can organic chick peas (or garbanzo beans, took me 20 years but I now know they are the same thing!) drained and rinsed (save 1/3 c. of the liquid)
5 cloves of garlic (more or less depending on your garlic tolerance!)
2 tbs Tahiti
3 tbs lemon juice
1/3 c. reserved liquid from garb beans/ chicky peas
Splash or so of olive oil
Splash or so of sodium reduced soy sauce
S & P
Baby handfuls of both cilantro and parsley ( or any other fresh herbs you’re feeling!)
Chopped hot peppers ( as many as you can handle!)
Pulse on high speed until your desired consistency ( I do not like my hummus too smooth) if too thick add more liquid…
Store in the fridge for an hour or so before serving with fresh veggies or toasted whole wheat pita! Yum yum..
